Hi from Ribadeo Spain - Ive been here in Galacia for a few days.  Tomorow, I leave.  I have been getting used to Spain.  The pace of things and the people are different, and have been growing on me.  I have been reading a few books here.  One book is talking about the civil war and Franco and the mass graves of the Socialists from the 2nd republic.  It also talks about the Basque nationalists and the terrrorists group ETA.  I think its sad that these things happen in a nice country like Spain.  I can understand the Nationalists wanting to protect the patria (fatherland) since Im a Welsh nationalst, but the killing and the terrorisim is depressing.  Its inocents that die nothing good comes out of it.  Fortunityçly there is talk of an agreement to stop killing and the numbers of attacks have been decreesing since the 80s when they were at there peak.  Its always so sad the way people cant coperate to find solutions in a world where so much is possable so they just start killing eachother.  -Like in the middle east right now.  Even if we have to be there to protect the Iraqes from the terrorists, we could be doing so much more than just walking around with guns.  We could be building houses and taking care of refugees.  We could be building schools to foster understanding between Sunnies and Shiite muslims.  Well off to another festival.  The Spanish love to party and festivals.  Micah
