Hello from Iona, Scotland. I'm going to be here relaxing on the Isle of Iona for the next 6 days playing music and meeting people here, while staying at an abbey thats been converted into a retreat center. Its beautiful here on this the island where St Columba the son of Saint Colum Cille came from Ireland in the 6th century and founded a monastery. The monastery her is the oldest Christian monastery in Scotland. There are supposed to be allot of old kings buried here maybe even Macbeth. Walking along the beach is very peaceful and its nice to be in nature. Since Ive been here Ive seen Sea Eagles, Otters, Seals and many birds. Its a small island full of nature, and tourists, but thats fine because its worth it. Its a special place and I can see why allot of people come here. Everyday about 100 people from all over show up on a boat to see the island. I think I will meet allot of nice people at the abbey over the next week. - Micah

- Sometimes people ask me why I travel. Sometimes I ask myself the same question. The best answer I can give is that I am following my heart, but there are so many good reasons for me to travel. Traveling teaches me about myself for one thing. Gandhi said “a nation’s culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people”. When I learn about myself I am learning so much more. If I have learned one thing, I have learned that I am far from a perfect person. There is no such thing as a perfect person in my world. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep trying to be the best I can.
