Hello from Rotterdam, Netherlands. I arrived here at exactly dawn this morning. the STENA line boat I took was a great deal. Included in the ticket, which cost 60 euro, was a privarite cabin with shower and a full all you can eat bereakfast including capacinos. The breakfast was great. Netherlands is nice. People are very friendly and helpful. The language is fun. There are some similarities to English, Latin, German. The only thing hard to get used to is the smoking in all inside restraunts and buildings. The hostel here is a friendly place. someone was asking about food here, Celeste, they eat alot more pork then chiken and beef in general, but its basically alot like America. There is all kinds of ethnic food vegitarian and Organic. Rotterdam is mostely a shipping and port city. There were ALOT more restraunts in London. Hope everyone is having a nice December. - Sometimes people ask me why I travel. Sometimes I ask myself the same question. The best answer I can give is that I am following my heart, but there are so many good reasons for me to travel. Traveling teaches me about myself for one thing. Gandhi said “a nation’s culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people”. When I learn about myself I am learning so much more. If I have learned one thing, I have learned that I am far from a perfect person. There is no such thing as a perfect person in my world. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep trying to be the best I can.
