December 3rd Monday 12:30 Hello friends and family.
I am writting to you all from a St. Vincent de Paul cafe near the
Thames river in London. There is an art exibit here called "Dignity".
It is a collection of art by people who live in in London and have
the HIV virus. Two peaces that I like particularly are: a self
portrait by a man who lost his ability to speak from the virus, but
the painting seems to show his will to live, hard to explain. The
other is done by a women who has had thedisease for over 10 years and
has taken no drugs, but she claims that she is very healthy through
natural living. Very cool. This morning I
met a nice women named Sharlet who was on her way to Ganya in Africa,
and we chatted over breakfast. She was trying to find some medication
for Malaria prevention. Turns out she owns a hostel in Falmouth
Cornwall, and she invited me there. She said she traveled alot and
opened the hostel not for profit, it doesn`t make alot of money, but
to give something back. I guess the Thames is pretty heavily
polluted there was a floating contraption I saw in the river which is
about 15 feet wide, the river is much wider of course (I guess 200
feet), on the side of this device was a sign that read "This device is
keeping the river clean by collecting 40 tonnes of litter every year"
Ill try to send a picture later. Hope your all doing well.
